Wind in the Willows
The Wind in the Willows was written by Kenneth Grahame and has become a children's literature classic. It was first published in 1908 and features four anthropomorphised animal characters - Toad, Badger, Ratty and Mole.
In 1929 when the Book was in its thirty-first printing the famous playwright, A. A. Milne, adapted part of it for stage as 'Toad of Toad Hall'.
Beswick produced figurines rom 1987 to 1989. In 2000-2001 Doulton-Direct commissioned several figurines which were produced by Royal doulton and in 2004 Royal Doulton produced several more figurines.
