Alice in Wonderland
Alice is bored with sitting on the riverbank with her sister, who is reading a book. Suddenly she sees a white rabbit, wearing a coat and carrying a watch. As he runs past he mutters "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!". Alice follows the little animal down a rabbit hole and falls very slowly down a tunnel lined with curious objects........
This enchanting story has captured the hearts of children for well over one hundred and forty years. Walt Disney produced their film in 1951 and in 1973 Beswick produced their first eight figurines: Alice, White Rabbit, Mock Turtle, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Gryphon, King of Hearts and Queen of Hearts.
They continued to produce Figurines until 2000
In 2001 Royal Doulton produced five figurines in their Disney showcase collection.
